| There are three categories of Fifestyle |
| 1. PREMIER
For individuals and families resident in Fife, in receipt of means tested benefits i.e. Income Support, Pension Credit, Disabled Persons Tax Credit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Rebate (but not the Single Person's Discount) and income based Job Seeker's Allowance, New Deal.

2. SUPER
For individuals resident in Fife who are; (a) Skill Seekers, (b) individuals with a disability, (c) 60 years and over and not in work, (d) in receipt of Job Seeker's Allowance (contributory), (e) students in full time further education, (f) in receipt of Invalid Care Allowance, (g) in receipt of Industrial Injuries Disablement Benefit.

3. BONUS
(a) For anyone resident in Fife who does not qualify under the 'Premier' or 'Super' categories. (b) For anyone who does not reside in Fife.

How and where to get Fifestyle |
|
First, fill in the application form, then take it to one of the participating centres ie. leisure centres, main libraries or community use schools along with your proof of eligibility and 1 passport sized photograph, the membership fee, if appropriate. Your Fifestyle Card will be made available to you within 14 working days. |

Who can apply for Fifestyle? |
| Membership is
available on application to Adults (18 years or over) and Juniors (under 18 years). Students in full time further education who are 16 and 17 years of age can enjoy Junior conditions in the "SUPER" category. A family application may be made under the "PREMIER" or "BONUS" categories. A family is defined as up to two adults plus dependant children (under 18 years of age). One Application Form must be completed for each member of the family who require a Fifestyle Card. The Adult who submits the application for his/her family must specify the number of adults and children in the family who are to be issued with a card. Children must be 5 years and over to hold a Fifestyle Card. (Children under 5 years will be registered on the main Adult's card). Proof of eligibility is required with all "PREMIER" and "SUPER" applications ie. (Means Tested Benefit, Severe Disablement Allowance, Job Seeker etc.). |

How long is Fifestyle valid? |
| Your Fifestyle Card is valid for 1 year from date of issue, provided that you remain eligible. Cards issued to students will be valid to the end of September in any one year. (Students who receive pay from a sponsor eg. research students etc. are not eligible). |

When it’s holiday time, make the most of your Young Fifestyle card because the offers are back! Outside it might be cold and rainy so go down to your local leisure centre. Discounts
The card can be used at Fife Council Leisure and Sport Centres, Community Use Schools, Community Centres, Libraries, Theatres and Golf Courses.
The card will allow access of up to 50% off the normal junior rate for sport and leisure activities such as swimming, 5-a-side football, badminton, table tennis, short tennis, basketball and golf.
Always check with your local Leisure Centre for details on making bookings for team sports when using your Young Fifestyle card. Remember that normal admission procedures will apply in terms of age restrictions and there may be time limitations on the use of the card which may differ from centre to centre.

The National Physical Activity Strategy, published by the Scottish Executive, recommends that children and young people should have the opportunity to participate in physical activity for 60 minutes every day! Fife Council thought it important that there was a range of accessible and affordable activities on offer for you to keep you busy and out of trouble.
