Community Services, Community Use Schools offer a wide range of vocational
and non-vocational learning opportunities including sports, leisure and
adult education classes.
Waid
Academy Community Use first opened in 1974, with the McArthur Community
Sports Centre completed in 2003. Our aim is to promote participation in
sport, learning and leisure activities.
We offer a range of evening
classes to suit different ages, interests and ability levels. Full details
of all our classes, facilities and programme leaflets are available from
reception. The programme changes from time to time.
Sports facilities include
a modern sports hall and full size artificial pitch with floodlights. You
can also book birthday parties for your children on Saturday mornings and
Sunday Afternoons. As well as:
